History of Whiskey Ridge Neighborhood
Are you wondering how the Whiskey Ridge Community got its name? Whiskey Ridge got the name from moonshiners making their brew early 1900’s. This was when there was a nationwide ban on the production of alcoholic beverages. This hill was used as a hidden spot to make the moonshine. In the late 1900s, the hill was cleared to start building homes and there were still some old stills laying around. Nowadays there is not one piece of evidence of the moonshine days. There are homes, parks, and trails on this hill now.
